Hudson Mohawke has introduced a brand new album, Cry Sugar, which might be out in August. It’s technically the Scottish producer’s first correct album since 2015’s Lantern, although prior to now few years he’s been busy reviving TNGHT and placing out some mixtapes. A press launch describes Mohawke’s inspirations this time round as being “deeply knowledgeable by apocalyptic movie scores and soundtracks by everybody from the late Vangelis to the goofy major-chord pomp of 90s John Williams.” Right this moment, he’s sharing a “Cry Sugar (Megamix),” a scattered 5-and-a-half-minute preview of the album, and a correct single known as “Bicstan.” Verify them each out under.
